Hello,
I have a problem with a few files which will show a different Album Name on Android smart TV with latest VLC-player.
Problem is that some files end up in multiple pictures shown on TV while you expect to have them together in one picture. Then you can play all files together.

I mean different compared to Windows and compared to the built-in player from the TV which will give the correct Album title.
Retagging will not update the Album Name for Android. The file properties shows compatibilty with ID3v2.3/ID3v1.
Is there an option in VLC-player to make it more compatible with these versions?

I don't really understand that part.

For your issue, is it possible to share some samples and tell us exactly what album name you expect and what album name you get?

In Android VLC-player this will be shown:

example 1:
Sha La La La Lee -> Album: 100 Forgotten Sixties Classics CD 1
example 2:
A Day Without Love -> Album: 100 Forgotten Sixties Classics CD 2

Both files In windows & android-player TV: -> Album: Forgotten 60s

Regarding to the multiple picture problem:
Because VLC player will organize the tracks according to "Album" these two files will appear in two (cover) pictures:
100 Forgotten Sixties Classics CD 1
100 Forgotten Sixties Classics CD 2
My goal here is to let them appear in one picture: Forgotten 60s
In order to let them play you only have to select that one picture instead of two.
I would like to share the two files but I don't know how to attach them?????

I guess there is somewhere in the file a field where VLC retreives an other Album name.
