No 4k video on tvOS 14

Hey guys, so since i updated yesterday to tv os 14, there is absolutely no 4k on my vlc app.. Before, i had 4k movies on vlc player that i transferred from the mac (using the remote playback) and they were playing fluently. Now when i try to play them they are stuttering and stuck... checked the video settings and nothing changed as it seems.. it’s really frustrating
Does it happens to someone else?

We only have a single report so far and no precise information. Which Apple TV do you use? 4K or HD? What is used the video codec? Does it help to disable hardware decoding in Settings?

Before the update, everything worked well on tvos 13.

After updating to firmware 14, 4k video began to slow down.

Since you cannot roll back the firmware, I bought a new set-top box with 13 firmware)

The lack of 4k video is a very urgent problem, I just didn’t do anything, rearranged the VLC, I even installed the beta version of tvos 14.2, but it does not help and rollback is impossible. I did not need this tvos14 at all, but I forgot to remove the checkbox on automatic update and this vile scum was updated at night now all 4k movies in vlc are completely impossible to watch before everything worked fine even .mkv interstellar 4k at 90gb

I know, this is unfortunate. We are looking into it. Note that this seems to affect H265/HEVC content only. H264 seems to decode nicely in hardware and the software decoders for all the others are working correctly, too.

since bluray vlc does not understand disk images, it is mainly used content packed in mkv by codecs, it is difficult to say, but actually in general - before everything worked now nothing. Thank you so much for your attention. Favorite player is VLC since the beginning of 2000 when Linux was just mature
