just play the video text instead of video title

Postby FoxMulder » 26 Jul 2020 04:16

I've tried viewing some videos with VLC 3.0.11, 3.0.10, 3.0.9, and even 3.0.8 and the problem persists.

1. Depending on the video, I will see the phrase “just play the video” in the title bar if I hover the cursor over it while it's still playing. At the end, the actual title of the video does not appear in the Playlist, even though it was there at the very beginning. How can I change this so I always see the title, and not this useless message about playing the video?

This is probably metadata from the files you are playing. This text is not from VLC. VLC v4 will have more improved handling of metadata text and respective display.

That's possible, but it doesn't explain why the Playlist is completely blank during and when a video is finished playing. How do we deal with that problem?
