Video doesn't play on old WMV3 WMAv2 files

Postby Biggund » 08 Jul 2020 21:44

Hi there, I was sorting through some old files and noticed that I can't get video playback on some old quicktime files that I am sure I used to be able to play before ( previous versions of VLC and I think Quick time too). They are in WMV3 and WMA2 format. Are there some old codecs that are no longer supported, or do I need to get access to third party codecs? I am on OSX High Sierra. Thanks, BG

We still support those. What happens when you play those?

No video window pops up. I can hear the audio as it plays but no video. BG
