zooming help

when i open a video and have it to auto size to the window it zooms to fit the screen. - work great really happy.

If i want to zoom in on it further as there are gaps on the sides I cant as it has maxed out the height in the window.
I have tried interactive zoom and while it allows it to zoom in more it doesn't expand the canvas size.

Hard to describe but the canvas size of the video expands at the same rate of the aspect ratio until one is maxed out by the screen.
Am i able to keep expanding the video so I can basically keep increasing the zoom and move the top and bottom of the video off the screen while increasing the width of the video?
Interactive zoom wont increase the canvas size (width of the zoom)

aspect ratio just stretches the image not moves part of the image off the screen.
cropping sort of does it (as your changing the aspect ratio) so it can actually increase the size a bit more but once you cut that part off its gone you cant pan it back into view if you need.

TLDR:
Looking the zoom the video beyond the screen size to fill width and or height of the screen and be able to pan around the video
