Midi file played slower than usual

Postby Indigo Guy » 24 Jun 2020 16:31

I sometimes extract midi files from some doom wads to have the soundtrack on hand. I took some from Going Down by Cyriak Harris and played them in vlc. for some reason D_RUNNIN and similar tracks played slower than they do in zdoom's version of fluidsynth or windows media player, using windows' in built mapper. It isn't a big deal, but I'd rather use interchangeable soundfonts.

Do you mean that the file duration is longer in VLC? I can't imagine how that would even happen.

Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.

Also upload your original problematic file to Zippyshare.com (200 MB max) or to WeTransfer.com and then post the link to the file here.
