Save crop ,aspect eratio settings for each video

Postby hpcampr2 » 31 May 2020 18:28

Is there a way to have VLC Player remember the crop, aspect eration settings for each video I play. I generally us smplayer but it doesn't have a crop function like VLC. It does however remember all settings I change for each video. Like if I rotate, zoom, change gamma etc. Thanks

You can save them in the preferences... but that's typically how people screw up their configuration and don't remember how to fix it.

Not sure what you mean ? I may have one video where I crop it quite a lot and another one where I crop it a little. I'm trying to find out a setting that makes vlc remember that when I reopen videos like smplayer does. Thanks

I mean that you can save a crop ratio in the preferences, but it will apply to all videos, and it's easy to forget how to undo it at a later time.
