Reverting back to 3.0.8 didn't help on my machine. It runs on Catalina 10.15.4.Same. I'm on a Macbook Pro running Mojave 10.14.6.
When I then try to quit out of VLC, the video window cuts the picture and goes to black and moves to the bottom left of my computer screen. The only way to restart is to force quit the application. Reverting back to 3.0.8 for now.
Here is my crash report:We are working on fixing this issue, unfortunately it's extremely hard to reproduce on our machines.
What would help a lot is if you can reproduce it with a VLC 3.x nightly and once it becomes unresponsive, Force-quit it and post a crashlog/spinlog which you should find in Console.app that might give us some clues whats going on.
Ok, Sure, Thanks!Hi, we found a possible fix for this, it would be great if you could try this build of VLC and let me know if the problem still exists:
