Problem with expanded URL of YT videos in playlist

Hello,

Before i open feature request i would like to discuss this problem

I am using VLC many years but this PROBLEM is irritating me last month too much.

I will describe a scenario.

I am using VLC for watching YT videos (I will prepare 60-90min playlist and wathing on TV)
Sometimes i need save playlist and watch it later or I would like to share with friends
or store it becouse there are nice videos and I will watch it after some time.

Adding to playlist is easy and working fine...
I will add for example URL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpq-Cb-UesM


Video link is added with valid URL in format youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID



After clicking or watching video is URL in playlist expanded to UNIQUE URL
which contain expiration token and IP and THIS IS WRONG!!!!! BAAAAD
becouse links are not valid after (expiration time limit hour or 2hours)
and recreating playlist with 20-40videos is extremny annoying....
KEEP URL in youtube.com/watch?v=ID format and expanded link will use
player when is starting playback or add URI field and store DIRECT_LINK there
and keep "URL field" not touched! or not modify playlist and expand it with LUA/youtube.lua script always before playback without modifiend URL
update only NAME description of video ("How to Turn Your Planer Into a Jointer")




PS: If i sleep and morning want to watch playlist from the middle i get errors
becouse URL are expanded (playlist was fully played during sleep)
and it's not possible start videos from playlist again (2nd time)
(becouse modified URL which are expired)!

PS: no option use shortcut for add URL (link Control-N) and past url we must use mouse and Submenu advanced open also anoying when user is more proefecient with keyboard.

Why don't you simply download the video to your own machine for offline viewing?

All you need to do is to copy the string shown in the Location field (shown in your own screenshot) and then paste that into the URL bar in your browser. Hit Enter and it'll connect directly to a youtube server as opposed to viewing it on the .com domain. Click the Play button and then click File ---> Save Page As. The file will save as videoplayback.mp4 so rename it to whatever the title is, or to something else if you wish.

Be aware that the string in the Location field includes your IP address so better to use a VPN if you're going to download many videos. I use Mullvad VPN: https://mullvad.net/en/ It's very private and you don't need to register or provide any details about yourself. You don't even need an email address.

I am collecting Youtube videos or watching some part and I want to continue
for example next day... and link DIRECT MEDIA LINK+tokend is expired

After watching for example 20videos and keeping only interesting in playlist
I want sent it as playlist to my friends do you think its good idea attach to email
20x 160mb files !?!????

nobody help me so I modified playlist.lua and keeping youtube.com/watch link in description field but this is only workaround.
when is link expired i may restore it in playlist window
This is not solving problem if I start playing video and consider video is good or related
its saved with expanded url in playlist.

It should be saved like youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXX and expanded only when user hit playbutton.
Then is possible send playlist to other people without problem.

sorry for late reply - corona isolation i havent password on forum at home.

BTW: Youtube probably changed crypt url algorithm and youtube.lua is not working for me 1 day.
and last version youtube.lua is from january 2020 on github repo.
