Going from Intel CPU built-in graphics to Geforce is bad

Postby T-buch » 23 Apr 2020 22:51

I have a i5-4790K - When I increase the speed (fast forward) to ie. 70X - There is no problems
Now i got a used GTX-650 - Nok I can only increase the speed to 8X. All speeds above will make VLC to freeze a picture

What can I do - to get the same experience from the Intels "APU" built-in graphics?

You can't do anything. PureVideo hardware is not meant to run at high rates.

If the GPUs with PureVideo is so bad for fast playback - what can you then buy if you want a separate GPU?

Probably nothing, unless you want to play very low resolution video.
