Open Network - Streaming Issue

When I copy and paste an address from any video site (I am trying to stream an educational video for school) into open network on VLC for streaming, the stream is added to playlist, but does not play or load. It stays at duration 0:00. I have the video link open on Chrome and playing, still does not work. If I try streaming a YouTube video, the stream is also added to the playlist, does not play, and then disappears from the playlist within a few seconds.

I'm on Mac OS Catalina 10.15.3 and VLC Version 3.0.8 Vetinari (Intel 64bit).

Playing Youtube Videos over VLC is broken at the moment, but this will be fixed with a new VLC release very soon.

VLC only supports a handful of websites, so if your school does not use youtube, it most likey will not work.
