Subtitles found but cannot download [SD Card]

The Download Subtitles option in the Android app can find subtitles but when I try to tap on them to download I get a spinning circle for a moment over the subtitle icon. Then the spinning circle disappears, rather than turning into an orange checkmark.

Tried force stop, reinstall, nothing seems to work.

I'm using VLC for Android TV and this feature worked fine several build ago

i have the some problem for two weeks now ... before that it was working ..

in LOG there are some permision issuses ...
