VLC won't play main movie title, even though it plays DVD menu, etc.

Tried on 3 different Macs (Mojave and Catalina) with VLC 3.0.8, VLC plays Title 1, 2 and 3 fine, but is unable to play Title 4 (the main movie). Even tried to force it straight to Title 4 in the Disc > Open menu. Apple's DVD Player plays same DVD without issue. Tried two different external DVD drives. Anything else I should try? Tips?
