VLC keeps switching video size

Hi.

Since a few weeks, VLC has been bugging like crazy for me. Using macOS Catalina 10.15.2 with VLC 3.0.8. While watching videos, the screen size randomly switches back and forth within a very short time frame. Sometimes it happens a lot, sometimes rarely. For me, it is not clear what exactly triggers it as it just happens randomly. Below I have attached a video which shows the problem.

Same for me, i reinstall it and it works better.
