Perpetual looping?

Postby boy412 » 13 Jan 2020 19:02

This is likely an edge case, but we are using a Raspberry Pi 4 at a mall to display a video to two large displays. Everything works perfectly except the looping feature. Playback stops after an undetermined amount of time. The person manning the mall kiosk goes home at 5:00 (video has been playing fine all day) and they come back in the next morning to find no video playing...with only a cursor visible.

We conducted a test on a Mac with the same video, using the looping feature. Video played fine all day but the next morning the display was dark with only the cursor visible.

What we would like to figure out is how to get the video to play in a loop in perpetuity...with no input from the user (in case the kiosk is unattended for example). Any thoughts on what might be happening here? The problem does not appear to be platform specific.

Thanks!
