playing H.264 video stream

I think this is a minor feature request.

I am running latest VLC on Older XBOX ONE.
I notice that if the internet is down, then the Network section of VLC throws an error and wont run further.

However, I am trying to display video from a streaming H.264 device on my LAN. (http://10.0.0.xxx/0.ts)

It should be able to do this (works if internet is up) but is blocked from operating by the internet check.

PS. I also get the Blank screen problem, but don't know how to find the hardware acceleration settings
