VLC 3.2.3 on Sony x90F does not show all files from usb

When browsing for files on my Sony KD-65X9000F all files are not shown from an external USB drive. This was working before. I've tried the obvious things but doesn't show.

All the files do show when I click on Videos but not when browsing. Anything I can try?

I have the exact same issue with an android running on top of an nvidia shield. I have a usb drive with a few thousand video files on it that use to be perfect with VLC and I use it all the time. Now it only shows about 5% of my files and I have given it time to populate, etc. Also noticed the movement inside the GUI is clicking and much slower, which is also bad when you have a lot of content. Trying everything I can to revert back to the old version as 3.2.3 is really horrific. This new version is a complete disaster

I have a Sony TV as well and am experiencing this issue with an external hard drive. What resolved the issue?

It's a matter of default cache size in an API we use.

3.2.4 will be release this week.

I had same problem on my sony 900f as well after update vlc for android two week ago. I have 100 files in usb hdd, vlc only saw half of them.
Overall new update are nicer , small icon , option for list file. But the main problem , it does list all file. Work around is if you click all videos icon. Only This option can see all files.
