Converting 80 min .wmv to .mp4 stops at 30 seconds

Hi,

I have VLC 3.0.8, MacBook Pro OS 10.14.6.

I'm converting a .wmv file to MP4 using Convert / Stream. Every time I try it I get different file sizes, 6.4 MB, 27.3 MB etc. Seems to be aborting. 93.7 GB open on HD.

Is there anyway to get an error message? I tried turning on the VLC logger in Preferences>Advanced>Logger and also opened the Errors and Warnings window, but no messages.

Hi,

I figured out how to tell it is working. I waited several minutes and the file size in the Finder finally got much larger. I didn't really get the progress bar at the bottom of the window at first. Doh.
