Adding Album Art For Music Doesn't Work

Hi All!
This may be a simple task, but I sure can't figure out how to add album or song art for the music in my Media Library.

Using: VLC Media Player Version 3.0.8 Mac OSX 10.11.6 Music is on a folder in the computer's User Name - Music folder

i searched the VLC Help section & manual with no luck. It only had directions to use controls that my VLC Player does not have.
I searched this forum & found good advice for repairing problems with art, but nothing for putting art in.
I searched on line for many long times and only came up with either how-to for Windows, Android or iOS. None of those solutions are available in my version.

The only instructions that I found where the things to click were in my VLC Media Player were:
Highlight a song
Click "Window" in the menu bar
Click "Media Information"
Right-Click the picture of the VLC Cone
Navigate to the art & click it.

However, nothing happens when I right click (or left click or double click) the VLC Cone picture.

How does one associate album or song art in this version of VLC Media Player?

Begin October I asked the developers about availability of album art on VLC for Mac:

Oh Boy! Such a not helpful answer they gave you. Thanks for posting information, Vincent. I appreciate it.
It is free on the computer, so I can't really complain about the lack of support. The phone app has advertisements, so I'd expect a reply from the developer who is earning money when we use the app.

Now, the player has decided to take my compilation albums and spread them out, calling them individual albums. (Computer and phone) It sure makes it hard to play the whole album in a row. Again, I could not figure it out, wrote the developer & never received a reply (2 weeks later). So, at least for now I'm not using it on the Mac and deleted it from the phone. I'll check back on it once in a while to see if I can do what I wish to do on the Mac.

On the Android phone, I'm trying an app called Musicolet. That app is amazingly simple to figure out and use. It doesn't have as many cosmetic customizations as VLC Player, but I can add art manually & sort things if they get messed up. And... No advertisements! So Far - So Good.
