I often use VLC to screen record my video games looking for the best capture moments. But lately when I go back later to play them, I can't get it to quit after I play it. It won't pause or respond to controls at all. I have to go to task manager and force it to stop. Even then I notice that even though the window is gone, it still shows up in Task manager and if I try and play another video, it refuses to launch.
I have only one clue regarding this: that one other program is doing it too. That is Lord of the Rings Online. I have no idea what they might have in common but something is triggering the same glitch in both.
I know how to use the software but not deep debug windows so I hope someone knows what might cause it to do this?
Oh, and Windows has not been updated lately. I'm waiting til the initial 'new feature update bugs' that I read about are over with. Neither Avast nor Windows Defender shows any sign of invasion.
