User name and password authentication over http media streaming

Hello everyone. I am using VLC player over years and thanks you to build such a great application.
My scenario is, I have a http web server for my media centents. And I have user name and password authentication for this setup.

I can play my media on any windows pc and Android device becouse when I insert the link and press play button, vlc asks me for user name and password.

But when I tried to play my media on my apple tv 4, it is not asking any authentication method and stucks at orange screen.

Is there any way to add user names and passwords for online streaming capabilities?

Yes, this is one endorsed way. We should investigate though why you don't get the authentication dialog known from Windows and Android.

Please for the love of god, make it so we have the option to save our credentials when logging in to a HTTP server. It's extremely irritating if one uses it a lot.
