INVALID screen occuring with video

Postby nitro22888 » 03 Aug 2019 03:48

I edited and saved a video using Shotcut, and exported it as a .mov file (prores). At the beginning of the video, over the voiceover audio, was a static image serving as an intro page to the video... and after about 5 seconds it fades into the video. The problem is, after rendering the video I tried to play it in VLC (the only player I have that plays .mov files) and the intro image simply says INVALID in big letters as the audio plays over it... and then it fades into the video (just as the intro image was supposed to). It's really odd. I don't know if it's the video itself or VLC that's at fault here, because I can't find this problem happening anywhere else. Has anyone ever experienced this and know what might be happening? Below is a picture of the "invalid" screen.

VLC does not display INVALID on error. That's encoded in the video or in subtitles.
