[VLC 3.0.5 Win7x64] Choppy Animation when playing DVD

Postby UmBottesWillen » 15 Jul 2019 02:02

Hello, sorry for the ambiguous title, I don't know how to title the bug I am experiencing. Let's start with a picture of the problem:

The bug appears to be that VLC is blending multiple frames of the movie in a not-so-subtle manner, which the Leawo player, for example, does not do. I heard that this might be an issue with the Deinterlace-Mode in VLC, however I tried all the options regarding deinterlacing and none fixed the problem completely. The DVD is in good quality, original and legitimately purchased, I'd doubt that this would be the culprit. My question is if this is a bug or if I could do something to fix the issue.

This is clearly a deinterlacing issue.

--deinterlace=1
--deinterlace-mode=yadif2x

Interlacing doesn't change anything. The problem happens with versions higher than 1.0.5.
