[ANSWERED] What happened to nightlies - last was Apr 11?

Postby sling-shot » 24 Apr 2019 06:38

I have been trying out the nightlies to see if some issues I am facing are fixed there. But since Apr 11 there has been no new APK on the servers while other OS have the latest.

Has it been moved elsewhere? I could not find any nightly release on Google Play Store like in the case of Firefox.

Hi sling-shot.

There are two issues at play here - we've moved all the builds to the new system some time ago, from jenkins to gitlab-ci, and I didnt configure the artifacts uploads to the old place yet. I'll do it when time permits.

The second one is that the build on gitlab-ci actually fails, see https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc-android/-/jobs -- when the nightly-* succeeds, you'll be presented with a cloud-like button to fetch the artifacts (e.g. the nightly .apk).

Thank you for reporting it.

Thank you. I will wait for it to succeed.

The builds seem to be working now. Hope APKs will appear too.
