Android TV 8.0 Oreo Philips

Postby diloc69 » 28 Mar 2019 11:38

Hi guys,

I have a problem since my TV (Philips 55POS9002) has been updated to latest version of android tv 8.0.

Actually, I watch my movies using VLC and an HDD of 1TO connected directly by USB port.
Now, with the last update of android, VLC can't access and even see my HDD, i really don't know why.

I tried to reinstall the app, reinstall all the TV, try by connecting my HDD on my routeur and nothing works

Have you guys an idea where the problem is?

Thank you very much for your answers.

Try VLC 3.1.0. Else, no clue, one need to debug such a TV.

Hi,
I have the same problem on tv Philips 49 PUS 8503: after upgrated to android oreo vlc 3.1.0-rc4 shows the presence of a pen drive usb, but says the folder is empty.
One week ago, when the tv had android 7 vlc worked very well reading video files on the pen drive usb.
Can you solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.
I have an update:
the pendrive I use has a NTFS file system, but i changed the file system from NTFS to FAT 32 and VLC now read the files storage in.
SO, can you solve the problem in light of this new evidence, in order to use pendrive usb with NTFS file system?
Thanks.

ntfs drives are accepted by VLC.

I don't see how we could help.
