This error is simply the consequence of all the warnings you have before. And these warnings are the consequence of incorrect installations of libraries.

Try adding /usr/local/lib to your ld.so.conf, and running 'ldconfig' as root.

hello
the line is already in ld.so.conf.
But the directory /usr/local/lib is empty.
the program seeks /usr//lib/vlc/gui/libwxwindows_plugin.so
main vlc warning: cannot load module `/usr//lib/vlc/gui/libwxwindows_plugin.so' (libwx_gtk2_xrc-2.6.so.0: Ne peut ouvrir le fichier d'objet partagé:Aucun fichier ou répertoire de ce type)

and when i put "/usr/lib/vlc/gui/" in ld.so.conf, i have the same warning.
however the module is well present :
david@slackdav:~$ ls /usr/lib/vlc/gui
libskins2_plugin.so* libwxwindows_plugin.so*
:?: :?: :?:

Hi,
it is useless to add /usr/lib/vlc/gui in ld.so.conf, vlc doesn't use it...
What the warning says is that the file libwx_gtk2_xrc-2.6.so.0 is not found, so it is the one you have to find and add in ld.so.conf.

i don't find it, in which pakage slakware to find it?
i only find libwx_gtk2_xrc-2.5.so.3.0.0 in wxall-2.5.3-i486-1tsu
