libVLC custom clock reference

Postby MikOfClassX » 13 Feb 2019 12:43

Hello,

maybe this is a slightly complex topic.

Problem: Playing video to custom devices (i.e. a tv-synched video card) with their own clock may lead to some time-aliasing problems with self-timed vlc video. i.e. possible missing frame updates or frame drops.

So, is it possible to set a custom clock reference for libVLC ?

Understood.
Fortunately I managed to create a simulated vblank interrupt which works absolutely well! Thanks to the good libVLC api.
