how to open VLC with a defined window size

Postby Togijak » 02 Feb 2019 08:05

if you revise a video you want to compare the result with the original. After some searching / reading I found a tip how that would be possible with VLC

my problem is, that the VLC window always opens maximized.

Is there a way to open VLC with a defined window size?

Look at the video options in the settings.

Also, wrong forum: post here next time for this app https://forum.videolan.org/viewforum.php?f=14

  • If I had found a suitable setting, I would not have asked for the option
  • Sorry I have not classified it as an error and therefore did not post in troubleshooting

Yet it's here https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?t=144884, https://superuser.com/questions/368743/ ... -viewed-co. make sure you can see all options

It's still considered troubleshooting to help users use and understand vlc. Either way, I meant this forum part is dedicated to the Windows 10 only VLC app that you can find on the Microsoft Store only, not the one you're currently using.

@mfkl

Thanks for the now clearly understandable (and friendlier) explanation and sorry for the wrong rubric
