Definitely a major driver issue then.Good call, change the name of vlc.exe file to vlc2.exe
And when nothing is running on VLC, my pc stays idle, no increase in CPU.

I just renamed VLC.exe file from VLC2.exe to VLC.exe and it behaves now the same as the VLC2.exe file

PotPlayer is playing 4k contenct fine again.
MPC-HC and Potplayer working fine again with 4k content.
If it's a driver issue should those mediaplayers also be affected by the driver issue?
