Getting current segment name of a HLS stream

Postby exile_xii » 14 Jan 2019 11:36

Hi all,

Apologies if this is the wrong section, but is it possible to retrieve the name of the currently playing segment of a HLS stream/m3u8 playlist using libvlc? I'm using a display callback to analyse frame-by-frame and would like to be able to correlate the frame with the exact HLS segment downstream.

Many thanks in advance for any help/advice!

HLS is very low in the stack, compared to libVLC, so so far, we don't get this information up.
