VLC Media player 3.0.4 won't open

I downloaded this and I get

command line interface initialized. Type "help" for help.

This is all I get. it won't open.

Any help is appreciated.

By the way, I am using Windows 10 and trying to install 64 bit.

It won't open at all. I get the screen that is black where you can type in prompts and commands. The actual VLC Media screen does not open. I have installed and uninstalled a number of times and the same thing keeps happening. Hope this makes sense.

This is the same issue that is happening to me, but there is NO VLC folder in %appdata% to delete to reset the preferences

Anyone out there know what to do about this? We can't get to preferences to change anything.
