Raspberry Pi Stretch and HW accelerated encoding?

Postby realjobe » 14 Dec 2018 09:30

Hi there.

This is just a question: Is VLC media player 3.0.3 Vetinari (revision 3.0.3-1-0-gc2bb759264)
in Raspberry Pi's "Raspbian Stretch 2018-11-13" HW accelerated when doing h264 encoding?

Raspberry Pi's change log says " VLC media player with VideoCore hardware acceleration included in image"

Hi, it seems to be used only as a decoder, not an encoder: https://github.com/videolan/vlc/blob/ma ... odec.c#L59
