How to display only foreign Subtitles

Postby mikegonzalez2k » 17 Nov 2018 07:01

I need a way to only display only subs in Spanish, while ignoring the audio in English, example is the show Narcos.

I have tried setting settings to Show all, then enabled the following.

Tools->Preferences -> Input/Codecs
- Audio Language = English
- Subtitle Track = 1
- Subtitle Track ID = -1

Currently the subs play for both English and Spanish when I enable the Subtitle track.
Is there a way to disable the English Subs and only show subs for languages other than the default one?

There should be a different subtitle track for only translation, as opposed to audio impaired assist. If there is not, then it's a problem with the media and VLC cannot fix it.

I think it may be how the vid was ripped. There is only one subtitle track. So it seems like all or nothing. You can't set it only translation.
