Version 3.0.4 • macOS

Postby Alexo229 » 02 Nov 2018 16:57

First time poster:
Let me get this out of the way: What an amazing piece of software, too bad it can cook yet!!! :D
Here's my problem:
1 - I've been using it since who knows when, both for Windows and Mac versions, but this week I decided to upgrade to the latest Mac OS X version 3.0.4 well, it just won't open the app.
All it does is to flash open then within a second it closes.???? I have a Mac Mini late 2014 2.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 8GB Ram
Something to take in consideration:
Do not have access to internet (rural area) so I download updates from work and take them home.
I've done it twice, thinking the first time was a bad file, but it's just acted the same.

I'm out of clues.

Thanks

Alex

Not sure. I experienced the same thing too, but I simply downloaded the latest 3.0.4 and it worked fine ever since on my Macbook running Mojave 10.14. I downloaded that version on October 30th 2018.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to update to Mojave and see if that does it...

Also, check to see which interface you have selected... I had mine set for Console (cli), but if you try to launch it from the finder (with Console set as the interface), it will crash just like you described (open briefly for a second and then quit).

You can try to reset preferences, if you believe they might be broken.
