Autostart when adding item to playlist...
I would like the VLC Media Player to stop playing when the playlist is finished and then, when a new playlist item is added, restart playing the playlist where it left off. Example: Videos 1, 2, & 3 have finished playing. I add Videos 4, 5, & 6 to the playlist. The media player begins to play Video4 and continues to finish the playlist after each video ends. Thanks in advance for any input on this.

You should be able to achieve that goal with an add-on. See this tutorial for details.
