v3.0.4 not saving audio device

vlc 3.0.4 is not saving my selection of hdmi (encoded output). after restarting vlc it goes back to check box for system sound default device

also the mouse cursor is not disappearing if using native full screen option

mac mini 2011 osx 10.12.6

I tried daily beta 3.0.5 but it crashes on exit and the dark mode has the playlist window cut off.

Thanks. I should have searched. Back to vlc 2.2.8 as vlc 3 is also not doing surround sound correctly.
