VLC iOS App Store vs Master branch

I noticed some bugs when listening via AirPods 6 months ago. Decided to check out the source code. Built code from master and noticed many changes. UITabarController for navigation vs custom "drawer" on AppStore version. This was 6 months ago. I checkout master branch again today. Why is there such a huge difference between what's shipped to the app store and master branch ? AppStore seems to be months behind. Does anyone know when is the UITabbarController version due for AppStore ?

Indeed, on the master branch, we're working on a new UI as you might have noticed.
The version shipped on the store is on the 3.0 branch.

For now, there is no precise release date for it.
