H.264 playback issue

I also don't seem to be able to play H.264 files via my mac iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) 4 GHz Intel Core i7 MD Radeon R9 M395X 4096 MB
BUT This is where it gets interesting... when i switch over to windows via VMware the same file plays ok. So i copied the 264 setup and confirmed it with the mac Vlc. and it still don't work.. My question is What am i missing here? i don't get it

for some reason the file shows 00.00 Duration on my mac version!

It is definitely an issue with your file, both VLCs throw the following error:

What is interesting is that the Windows' version of VLC continues to play the broken stream whereas the Mac version gives up...

I noticed that you didn't send the full debug log for VLC running under Windows. On Mac you are running VLC 3.0.0 (try updating to the latest release 3.0.4). What VLC version are you running on Windows?

Does VLC fail on your Mac for every x264 video you try?
And lastly, how was the file A180929_181931_181945.264 produced?
