Custom Equalizer

Hello there

First of all: I really enjoy VLC for iOS. Been using it for about a year and little hickups get fixed with every update. Great work!

Then again, I do miss one feature. Every time I put on another album, the equalizer gets "reset" to one of the presets. I have to change them every time, slightly (for instance, the best option for my new headphones is "party", but the 14K and 16K frequence-slider have to be upped to get a clear sound. Also: the preamp is always to high). It's not very ergonomic. It would be nice if it'd be possible to let the user make their own presets and change/save them on the go.

That would be nice indeed. Not trivial to do, but not overly complex either. Great to hear that you like the equalizer

I updated VLC today to newer secure version, but playback now is using spatialiser. I have checked the tools and equaliser etc... and the spatialiser is not ticked as being used. This is annoying as the sound is greatly affected. Any quick fixes please. Thanks

We never rolled out the spatializer to iOS. Are you sure you shouldn’t create a new post in the windows or macOS section?

I agree, actually my only wish would be for the amplification setting in the "Flat" profile to be at 0dB just like the rest of the Eq-settings.
The Amplification today causes dynamic hearable compression and amplification of the signal, which isn't optimal when reference-listening music that contains a higher dynamic range.
