I have update 3.0.3 win 64 to 3.0.4 win 64 but that gives problems.
When i double click on an file with pictures it opens directly vlc. why?
When i double click on an file with an movie and subs,it's directly opens vlc. why?
When i remove version 3.0.4 win 64 and install again 3.0.3. win 64 i don't have this problem.
This is the second time i get this problem.
So i think there is some problem with the latest program.

During the installation process, you can check/uncheck the "File type associations" to choose whether you want VLC to be the default application to open audio, video, etc.
After the installation/update, if you want to change these settings, you can do it in the Windows settings: on windows 10, it's in the following menu:
Windows Settings -> Apps -> Default Apps -> Choose default apps by file type
