Recorded with a no longer exixtent folder as destination

I had set my recorded files to a folder which I deleted some time ago. Now I finished recording something and can't find the file anywhere. Did it not record cause of the inexistent destination (hasn't given me any error)? Can I retrieve the file? I've already checked in my documents and it's not there either.

Sorry but I don't think so, no valid destination = no valid file.
