Video capture is red/green

Postby philled » 09 Aug 2018 13:37

I'm trying to digitise an old VHS tape. I'm using a Diamond VC500 as the USB capture device. With other software the capture is OK, but with VLC the captured video is red and green - like a photo negative but on red and green. Does anyone know how I can fix that? The audio works fine.

Answering my own question here... I uninstalled and re-installed the VC500 drivers. I had to try it a few times but eventually it sorted itself out. I think the article at http://www.diamondmm.net/kb/faq.php?id=10 helped a bit. I had the E-home Infrared Receiver and OTG102 devices that the article mentions.

Sorry I can't be more scientific than that!
