VLC problems for iPhone X

Postby BlackBearGamer » 28 Jul 2018 19:15

I have been using iPhone X to watch movies and stuff on VLC. But one annoying problem that I have is that when I stretch the video out, I cannot see my subtitles. Is there any fix to this problem that I possibly don’t know about? Or does VLC have to update their apps to properly work on iPhone X. Because this is really annoying me when I want to get the full experience out of my iPhone X but cannot see the subtitles at all :( Thanks everyone for helping me out!

We're aware of this issue, and we're looking into it.

Thanks for the report and sorry for the inconvenience.

I also want to report another bug that happened across all my devices, from iPhone to iPad. That is when I pause the video and come back and unpause it, audio cuts out and I have to close and reopen the app to fix that problem. Thanks to the VLC team for looking into these problem :D :D

Does the audio issue still happen with 3.1.1 ?

I used to have that issue with the "frozen audio" after resuming playback too - however, after updating the app to 3.1.1 it seems fixed to me and I cannot reproduce any longer (iPad Pro, iOS 11.4).

Are you 100% sure you have that version installed? (you can check by clicking on the cone and then "About VLC for iOS")
