since vlc 0.8.4 win32 sout with ogg+theora+vorb crash vlc

Postby chx2k » 01 Jan 2006 11:07

Hi,

I think this is probably a bug.

In Windows, I'm trying to stream out from a capture card to theora+vorbis muxed with ogg, it works fine if I do it with vlc 0.8.2, but if I try to do this with vlc 0.8.4a or any nightly build since the vlc 0.8.4, vlc crash with a window message that memory could not be read.

I hope this is the correct place to report this, and hopefully will be fixed soon.

Thank you

looks like theora is kind of broken in VLC nowadays. I'll file a bug report
