how to add a channel to SAT>IP Astra 19.2 playlist

Postby Ralf Jahns » 11 Jun 2018 22:11

Hello,

in settings -> upnp ..., VLC lists my sat>ip server and shows all stations. But the list is not complete, there are stations missing. I don*t want to make a custom list and I also wouldn't know the format so my question is how to add a channel.

Especially this one:
Arirang TV:
Satellit: Astra 19,2° Ost
Frequenz: 11509 MHz
Polarisation: vertikal
Symbolrate: 22000
Video PID: 711
Audio PID: 731

Best Regards
Ralf

Hi,

The SAT>IP channel list is downloaded from "www.satip.info". For example, for Astra 19.2 the list URL is: http://www.satip.info/Playlists/ASTRA_19_2E.m3u

So, if you like to "ADD" a custom channel (and you can), this is the solution:

1) Download the original M3U file to your harddisk.
2) Exit the M3U file and add your channel (belive me, it's very easy... use current channels as example).
3) Upload you custom file to some HTTP server (in your internal LAN, o in external Internet... don't care).
4) In the Advanced config of the VLC set the "SAT>IP Channel List" to the URL of your edited list.

That's all! ;)
