Some unpleasant/weird behavior 2

I have the latest VLC version installed on my WIN7 laptop and recently VLC playback stops
abruptly and a Petula Clack song 'Downtown' start playing, also when VLC just idle for few min
the same is happening with the same song, uninstalled and reinstalled VLC and it's still happening
any idea anyone?

I have been having the same problems,, it just shuts down for no reason at no specific point in time or with a particular video, totally random and only with the latest update.

I allow it to send error reports each time, hope it gets sorted soon its really annoying.

Try setting the stream output to 3 sec from 1.5 [seems to have worked for me]

GoTo > Preferences > Advanced Preferences > Stream Output > stream output mixer caching (ms) [change "1500" to "3000"]

Maybe that didn't work.. seems to have returned to randomly crashing again today
