EAC CUE file track titles keep changing

Postby userminus1 » 21 Apr 2018 16:16

Hi all, first time posting on this forum

I have just begun ripping to FLAC and I am using EAC.

I ripped to image+CUE file to handle the CDs blending one track into the other and it plays perfectly.

The problem and the reason I'm here is that when I open the CUE file with VLC whichever track I play gets renamed with one of the other track names (specifically track 2).
Again, the correct track plays, but it's annoying that the names all end up being the name of track.

After lots of troubleshooting, I finally installed Foobar and it plays via the CUE file perfectly without changing any track names.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I see a similar problem on Mac, but every track gets renamed to the title of the album. Been like that for years.

Yes, I can repoduce the issue.
You should create a new ticket on the VLC Trac with the link to this thread.

Been like that for years.

Hélas.

Indeed. We will fix that for VLC 4.0.
