Where are clips stored?

Postby Asanger » 25 Apr 2018 20:57

I want to use the record function in order to produce short clips of long MTS videos. I load the viedeo, start it, press record button to start recording, press record button to stop recording. As far as I understand the clip should be stored in library VIDEOS but the directory is empty. Where do I find the clip?

Hi,

By default, the video will be stored in the Video folder of your user, something like C:\Users\Asanger\Videos\vlc-record-....

You can change the output directory in "Peferences > Input codec > Record directory of filename"

That's what I have thought, but the folder was empty, don't know why. When specifying my own directory it's working fine.
Thank you
Sepp
