WOW. You did better than I did. I posted this question years ago and have had no responses. My desktop runs on Windows 7. I've never had this happen before but yesterday I put an older DVD I just bought in the drive to play and a green screen came up, flickering, over the main screen with Play, Extras, Subtitles etc. I had a message to get the VLC upgrade which I did but it's still happening. I checked my computer and see I have VLC media player 3.0.11. What can I do (and am a tech idiot) to get rid of the flickering green screen. It's not my DVD player—I tried other DVDs without this problem, it's just this one DVD. Is it because I'm using 7 that I can't get a more recent upgrade and that's the issue? Is it because this DVD movie is from 2005? I'm confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thx.
