VLC Video player has sound droup out and the video stall
The desktop in question has Windows 10 and a fresh reinstall of VLC and now a DVD that I had burned a while ago no longer plays properly. The audio stops and the video will stall. The same DVD plays in another, exactly the same desktop and the DVD plays fine. The DVD will play fine using Windows media player. I am not necessarily tech minded.

Can you provide some logs ? Tools > Messages and set verbosity to 2.

I am sorry but I am not all that tech literate regarding VLC. The odd thing today is that while viewing a commercial DVD, the sound drops out at the exact same place every time, while it plays perfectly with Windows DVD player
